I am so blessed to have been working with dogs and owners for over 23 years now. My experience with animals started at 13 years old working for our local veterinarian but it wasn't until after college, when I started volunteering for an animal rescue, that the path I was meant to be on finally revealed itself. I've never looked back as I truly feel that I am doing what I was meant to do.
My resume is extensive, but suffice it to say that not only do I love dogs, but I absolutely love helping people build meaningful relationships with their pets and in a way that makes sense. I am not one to make you feel bad for whatever choices you've made through your dog ownership experiences. I am here to educate you and support whatever ideas you have on what type of relationship you want. We will talk a lot, laugh quite a bit, work with your dog in a way that doesn't feel like work and most likely build a rapport that feels natural and easy. Oh, and your dog is going to have some fun too! Because we are going to find the methods that work best for you and your four legged family member.
I'm not going to list a bunch of credentials because honestly, I've been doing this a long time before they really had dog trainer schools. I keep up to date on current methods. I'm not stuck in my ways. I am constantly educating myself through various forms but the best education I get is from you and your dogs. The dogs are my motivators and my teachers as much as I am theirs. I will always do what is both in their best interest as well as yours.
Oh but in case it matters, I am also an AKC CGC Evaluator and can conduct Canine Good Citizen testings.

"I can't recommend Jennifer enough! Not only did she understand how my dog thinks, but she knew how to communicate that to us! After six weeks, the dog that I had been incredibly frustrated by has been replaced by a well behaved dog, that I truly enjoy and connect with. Best of all, she gave me the tools to work with him going forward. She really worked with us to come up with specific strategies for our family that actually work. I am so happy that we called Jennifer. She is the best!"

Rachel is a valued addition to 3 Dog Training. In addition to her 4 rescue dogs and her sister's rescue pup (pictured with her), she has a love for all four legged companions and connects with them almost instantly. She is easygoing and dependable, and our clients feel comfortable trusting their pets and home to her care. She is available for take and trains and helping to reinforce training while busy owners are... well, being busy. She is also available to assist families with new puppies (or even older dogs) by offering them puppy nanny services such as play time, potty breaks, trick training, enrichment and beginning training. She is exceptionally good at receiving doggy kisses. Warning: You may not be able to say the name "Rachel" after your dogs meet her. They will go nuts!
"Sunny and I love Rachel! She's awesome and he's so happy on his walks with her. He absolutely adores her. He's doing so good too." - Jennifer H.

Colby fell in love with dogs at the age of three when her family brought their first dog, Taylor, home. She started volunteering at her local pet rescue in middle school, adopting first Bailey and then Nikki. She adopted her own puppy, Scout, during the pandemic and has trained her to be an outstanding ESA by focusing on positive reinforcement of her natural abilities. Colby has most recently worked in a dog training facility working with dogs to run agility courses. Her goal is to become a physical therapist for canines, helping aging, injured and disabled dogs to live full lives.
